Chill at Chay Lap river

Floating hammock

  • $7 per hour for 2 people

Kayak

  • Option 1: Complimentary 1 hour kayak is in Chay Lap river area

Bicycle

  • Option 1: Complimentary 1 hour bicycle

Boat cruise

  • Price: $52 per hour per 15-18 people boat
  • 3 hours (2 pm - 5 pm)

Activities at the caves with Oxalis Adventure

Tours are operated by Oxalis adventure, collaborate with experts from The British Vietnam Caving Expedition Team

These two caves are in the Tu Lan cave systems and you cannot hike them by yourself because of their level of complexity. We have to go with a Oxalis professional guide/ porter to hike this. Anh and Andy are doing Hang Tien Cave Discovery (Code HT1) one of the days because this is the world's biggest cave and want to do that caving adventure. It is an all day 12 hour commitment.

Tu Lan Experience (Code TLL1)

  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Distance: about 1 hr 20 minutes from Chay Lap farm-stay
  • Depart Chay Lap at 7 AM and return to Chay Lap at 7 PM.
  • Group of 12 people, easy hiking level (swim in the wilderness)
  • Price: $78 - $79 per person

Hang Tien Cave Discovery (Code HT1)

  • Difficulty: Moderate - Hard
  • Distance: about 1 hr 20 minutes from Chay Lap farm-stay
  • Depart Chay Lap at 7 AM and return to Chay Lap at 7 PM.
  • Group of 12 people, moderate hiking level
  • Price: $83 per person
  • This cave is the largest dry cave in Tu Lan cave systems

  • Availability: 8 spots for 2/6/23, 12 spots for 2/7/23 (open just for us. requires 10 people to make happen or price goes up per person)

Activities at the caves

Phong Nha cave, Dark Caves and Paradise cave are less than 6 miles or less than 30 minute drive from Chay Lap farm-stay.

For these caves, we can do 2 caves in 1 day with motorbikes or 16 seat van. Daily operation hours are: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Phong Nha cave

  • The world's largest wet cave that can only be accessed by boat
  • Distance: 20 minute drive from Chay Lap farm-stay
  • Duration: 2-3 hours
  • Price: $6.45 per person for entrance ticket, and $54 per 12-person boat

Phong Nha cave

  • If we decide to visit Phong Nha only for today, we can also stop by the Duck farm on the way

Dark cave

  • This is the most popular tourist attraction because it has many fun activities included: kayaking, ziplining, and mud-bathing inside the cave. 
  • Distance: < 10 minute drive from Chay lap farm-stay
  • Duration: 2-4 hours
  • This cave closes at 5 PM. 

Dark cave's funs

  • Price: $3.5 per person for entrance ticket and $15.5 per person for activities (zipline, mud bath, kayak and others)

Dark Cave & the Duck Stop

  • If for today's activity we decide to only visit dark cave, we can also stop by Duck farm on the way

Paradise Cave

  • This is the world's largest dry cave
  • Distance: 25 minute drive from Chay lap farm-stay
  • Duration: 2-3 hours
  • Price: $11 per person
